Spherical roller bearings are bearings operating under the toughest conditions and contain two rows of cylindrical symmetrical rollers. Such bearings can handle unequally large combined forces. They have a tolerance against sudden loads. These bearings are self-aligning but can be used at limited speeds. The bearing axis is the spherical center of the raceway of the outer ring. These bearings can be mounted directly on the shaft or with the help of adapter sleeve or dismounting sleeve. Spherical roller bearings in the standard version are only available with a sheet metal cage or brass cage option.
